Nouri only keeps what helps it help you eat well — nothing more. And you stay in control of all of it.

What Nouri remembers, and why

• Your meals and your days, so Nouri can see how you actually eat and give advice that fits — not generic tips.
• Your goals, so its suggestions point in the direction you’re heading.
• Your food preferences and boundaries — the things you love, the things you’d rather skip, and the things you must avoid. This is how Nouri recommends well and respects allergies and choices everywhere.

Where it lives

Your data is stored securely with Supabase, a managed Postgres database, and encrypted while it travels between your phone and the server. It’s scoped to you — Nouri only ever looks at your own information. If you’re using Nouri as a guest, your data is tied to your current session, and upgrading to an account carries it over without loss.

AI and food data

Some of Nouri’s recommendations and food estimates use AI. OpenAI is one provider among several — alongside trusted food data from FatSecret, USDA and Open Food Facts. AI helps Nouri estimate nutrition and suggest what to eat. It is not medical advice, and it can be wrong; if anything matters for your health, check with a professional. You’re never required to use it — you can always log your food without AI. Photo logging, when you use it, processes the image only to identify the food; it isn’t used to train models and isn’t kept longer than needed.

What Nouri never does

• Never sells your data.
• Never shares it with advertisers.
• Never tracks you across other apps or websites.
• Never dresses an estimate up as a certainty.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist on this site stores your email, an optional first name, an optional goal, where you came from, and the time you consented — nothing else. We use it to send one launch email. It is not a marketing list, it’s never shared, and you can ask for removal at any time.

Your controls

In the app you can see what Nouri has learned about you, correct it, or delete it. Apple permissions (Health, Calendar, Location, notifications) are asked plainly, one at a time, when they’re actually needed — and everything works if you say no.
